What is Heartfulness?
Heartfulness is a transformative, multicultural approach to mindfulness that integrates compassion and responsibility with the goal of enhancing well-being and interconnectedness. It has evolved over two decades in Stanford classrooms, its origin compassionately crafted by Dr. Murphy-Shigematsu, a psychologist from Harvard University who has been a professor at Stanford for over 20 years.

- Over 500+ scientific and psychology studies have inspired the Heartfulness curriculum

- The curriculum integrates modern psychological and scientific research in medicine, neuroscience, psychology, and community health.

Heartfulness experiences, workshops, and classes have been facilitated for diverse communities, including preschoolers, veterans, university students, school teachers, doctors, and more.

Dr. Murphy-Shigematsu is currently a faculty member at the Stanford Medical School and my mentor and teacher. I've had the privilege of serving as a teaching assistant for two of Sensei's Stanford Heartfulness Undergraduate classes. Additionally, I am a Stanford Heartfulness Fellow under the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics

This website is an evolving personal blog containing my reflections on my experiences and the research and insights I integrate into my work as a Heartfulness fellow and facilitator. Much of the activities I facilitate come from Sensei's book From Mindfulness into Heartfulness: From Mindfulness to Heartfulness: Transforming Self and Society with Compassion
